Day with the Leper Colony, Magiri Sudan
(Photos captured from video of the day)

|
| We met
outside of a small mud church. The leper community usually meets
here to pray and sing. |
| |

|
| We brought
blankets, dresses, pots, and soap for the community. Most of
the people were extremely grateful, although a couple of the
women didn't like the color of dress they received... |

|
| Some of
the women who gathered. |
| |

|
| A young
man that came. Many of the men of Sudan have been killed, leaving
behind numerous widows and orphans. |
| |

|
| After we
handed out the goods, the crowd erupted into dance and singing
to show their appreciation. The women and men came to shake our
hands and dance with us. |
| |

|
| We awkwardly
tried to learn the simple dance moves. Here Laura Iatesta, Eric
Chapman, and Mike Sandford join the crowd. |
