In the Wake of Kenya's Elections
Joseph Mungai's story (pictured above): "They took my business as a mobile repairman and all the property that I owned. I was born in Nairobi and this is my home. My parents were also born here in Nairobi. Now they have taken all that I had and I have no idea where to go."
"The house that I was renting in Kibera was occupied by unknown people. They came to my house and told me to leave everything in the house and move. I had no place to go and had to seek refuge at Nairobi show ground.
"Life has been very difficult the fact that I have 7 children. Sometimes they go without food. At this moment they are supposed to be at school but there is no way out at this moment. There is a lot insecurity out there, If I move out of this place I will be no more." |
